ETICS – contributing to EU competitiveness and decarbonisation
Our 7th European ETICS Forum will take place on Wednesday, 12th November 2025, in Milan/Italy.
As in previous editions, the EAE will bring together more than 150 experts to a high-level conference, complemented by an exhibition zone. Architects, designers, contractors, authorities, policymakers and manufacturers will have the unprecedented opportunity to listen, to discuss and to exchange on the latest technical, regulatory and legislative developments shaping the future market opportunities for External Thermal Insulation Composite Systems (ETICS).
As ETICS mark the most used façade insulation solution in Europe and beyond, the sector plays an important role in achieving the European Union’s political objectives of the Clean Industrial Deal – the bloc’s plan for competitiveness and decarbonization by 2050.
With only 25 years left to achieve the decarbonization of Europe’s huge and ageing building stock, comprising 112 million buildings (in 2020). 75% of those are assumed energy inefficient, being responsible for 36% of Europe’s CO2 emissions and 40% of the energy demand, around 2/3 of it used for space heating and cooling alone. 90% of these buildings will still exist in 2050, and most of them are still in need of energy-efficiency renovation. With arrears on utility bills of 6,9% and with 10,6% of households not being able to keep their homes adequately warm because of energy poverty, both the social and economic dimensions of the challenges emerge.
