HIRSCH Isolation, a member of EUMEPS, has reached a significant milestone in its sustainability journey. On 8 April 2026, HIRSCH France announced that it had been awarded the EcoVadis Silver Medal, a recognition that places the company among the top 15% of businesses assessed by this internationally recognised corporate social responsibility (CSR) rating organisation. This achievement highlights the company’s structured and increasingly ambitious approach to sustainable and responsible practices.

A Recognised Commitment to CSR Performance

The EcoVadis Silver Medal marks a clear progression for HIRSCH France, following a previous Bronze rating. This advancement reflects the company’s continuous efforts to improve its CSR performance across key areas, including environmental impact, social responsibility, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

As CSR evaluations become an essential criterion in the building and industrial sectors, this distinction sends a strong signal to partners and stakeholders. It demonstrates HIRSCH France’s ability to meet growing expectations for transparency, accountability, and sustainable business conduct.

This silver medal represents an important milestone for HIRSCH France. It recognises the collective commitment of our 200 employees to structure and strengthen our CSR approach. Our ambition is clear: to develop high-performance insulation solutions while contributing to more responsible and sustainable construction.”, Amaury Omnès, CEO HIRSCH Isolation.

Embedding Sustainability into Core Business Practices

HIRSCH France has long integrated sustainability into its operations, positioning itself as an innovative and resource-efficient player in the insulation sector. Over recent years, the company has introduced several initiatives aligned with circular economy principles and climate-neutral ambitions:

  • 2020: Launch of its first expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation product with an improved carbon footprint (ECA).
  • 2021: Introduction of REuse, an efficient and sustainable service for collecting and recovering EPS waste through short supply chains. By 2025, the company had collected and recycled 118% more EPS than in 2024.
  • 2023: Development of its first range of insulation products made entirely from recycled EPS and production offcuts.

Beyond product innovation, HIRSCH France has embedded sustainability across its internal processes and governance. The company has made measurable progress across all four CSR pillars: Environment, Social & Human Rights, Ethics, and Responsible Procurement.

Key actions include the implementation of a supplier charter, enhanced traceability systems and CSR performance indicators, as well as the transition of all five production sites to electricity sourced entirely from renewable energy within France. These structured measures have enabled the company to formalise its first comprehensive CSR policy in 2026.

In addition, HIRSCH France has joined the United Nations Global Compact, reinforcing its commitment to uphold ten universal principles related to human rights, labour standards, environmental protection, and anti-corruption.

A Collective Effort Driving Transformation

The EcoVadis Silver Medal reflects a company-wide effort, involving cross-functional collaboration and strong managerial engagement. This collective mobilisation has been instrumental in advancing HIRSCH France’s sustainable and efficient transformation.

More than a recognition, this achievement serves as a structured lever to further strengthen the company’s commitments. It supports the ongoing evolution of its organisation towards more sustainable, high-performance, and responsible practices within the construction sector.

Conclusion

HIRSCH France’s EcoVadis Silver Medal underscores the company’s steady progress in building a robust and credible CSR strategy. By integrating sustainable practices into both its products and operations, the company contributes to a more energy-saving and resource-efficient construction industry. This milestone not only reflects past achievements but also sets the foundation for continued improvement and long-term impact aligned with circular economy principles.
