“Make your voice heard.”

Marianne Mügge is communications manager at BEWI and she accept to be interviewed to share her experiences in the EPS world.

Work and responsibilities

”Working within communications in the EPS industry, I develop strategies for promoting the latest innovations, sustainability efforts, and industry insights. My role focuses on shaping the narrative around EPS and its benefits, particularly in the construction and packaging sector.”

Biggest challenges and achievements in her career

“One of the biggest challenges has been navigating the complex and evolving regulations within the EPS industry, especially with regard to sustainability and recycling. However, overcoming these challenges has also been one of my greatest achievements. By actively participating in initiatives that promote the circular economy and collaborating with industry stakeholders, I advocate for EPS as a key contributor to meeting climate reduction targets.”

A word of advice

“My advice to young women entering the EPS industry is to stay curious and embrace opportunities along the way. The EPS sector may seem niche, but it is a dynamic field with significant contributions to sustainability. Take the time to learn, seek mentorship from women who have succeeded in the industry, and don't be afraid to speak up and make your voice heard. We need more diverse perspectives to continue pushing the industry forward.”
