Light and Easy to Process
Light, easy to transport and highly customisable, EPS is an economical option in both processing and cost, and requires no protective gear to handle.
EPS insulation stands out as the economically sound and environmentally responsible option for both the construction and building sectors, aligned with EU regulatory mandates and their aim to achieve a climate-neutral building stock by 2050.
EUMEPS, as the European advocate of the Expanded Polystyrene industry, advocates for EPS as the key to increasing energy-efficient buildings, a gateway to fulfilling the objectives of the Green Deal.
Thus, we aim to showcase the clear advantages of EPS insulation, the affordable yet high-quality forerunner of the industry, setting a benchmark for sustainable, eco-conscious construction and renovation.

With low thermal conductivity of 0.030 to 0.040 W/(m2K), very little EPS is required to guarantee excellent insulation for decades to come.
The energy used in the manufacture of EPS is recouped through its insulation performance and heating energy savings after two and a half years on average. This results in substantial CO2 emissions reduction and an extremely positive ecological impact.
Rot proof, moisture resistant and durable, EPS is used in building envelope, façades, roofing and perimeters, without any fibre release in the atmosphere during processing and disposal.
Modern EPS is fully recyclable, and can be used to manufacture new goods. EPS boards containing older flame retardant materials can also be broken down into their base components are reintroduced into the production process.
