Dear Members, Partners, and Friends of EUMEPS,
2025 was a demanding year for the EPS industry in Europe.
The economic climate remained uncertain, with continued pressure from non-compliant imports and lower
investment in construction. In this context, EUMEPS remained focused on advocacy, technical engagement,
and communication, defending the role of EPS through facts and long-term thinking. We welcomed a new
member, Schlaadt, and elected a new Board of Directors, with Agata Gladysz-Stanczyk becoming the first
woman to serve as President of EUMEPS. I warmly thank our former President, Dr Klaus Ries, for his
scientific vision and strategic leadership over the past four years.
Our cooperation with European partners grew stronger, particularly
through the Clean Industrial Deal Summit and the Antwer Declaration. We worked closely with Plastics
Europe, CEFIC and Construction Products Europe on key regulatory files, including product standards and
competitiveness. Internally, EUMEPS adopted a set of shared values—reflected in the launch of the Women of
EUMEPS campaign at CIRPLEX. I also wish to thank the EUMEPS team for their continued commitment. Together,
we made progress on PPWR, REACH, lifecycle assessments, fire safety testing, and external engagement.
As we look to 2026, signs of recovery are emerging, but uncertainty remains.
EUMEPS will continue to support its members, promote circular and energy-efficient solutions, and ensure that the voice of our industry is heard. Through cooperation, technical integrity and clear communication, we will continue to build a reliable and respected presence in the European policy debate.
