As EUMEPS looks ahead to 2026, the association will continue to support its members
in navigating an increasingly complex policy and market environment. The economic context remains
uncertain, but several developments point towards cautious recovery. EUMEPS will maintain its focus on
practical solutions, institutional engagement, and technical clarity.
Building on the values adopted in 2025, the association will further develop
initiatives around diversity, intergenerational collaboration, and technical excellence. This includes a
continuation of the Women of EUMEPS initiative and new efforts to reflect the full diversity of
roles and profiles within the EPS value chain.
Regulatory work will remain a core focus. In particular, EUMEPS will closely monitor
and contribute to:
- The implementation of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR)
- Ongoing developments in REACH, microplastics, and chemical safety
- The final phases of the Global Plastic Treaty negotiations, in coordination with GESA and EU stakeholders
- Technical standardisation efforts, including façade fire testing and PV panel integration
The association will also continue to reinforce its advocacy around energy efficiency
and building renovation, particularly through the European Insulation Platform and related campaigns. A
focus will be placed on national-level implementation of EU policy, where many decisions on insulation
incentives and product requirements are made.
In terms of communication, EUMEPS will further develop its Publication Series,
expand its video formats, and strengthen content tailored for both members and external audiences. A
stronger connection between technical outputs and public messaging will guide this effort.
EUMEPS remains committed to acting as a reliable and constructive partner to
policymakers, industry actors, and civil society. The objective is clear: to ensure that EPS continues
to be recognised as a recyclable, efficient, and valuable solution in Europe’s path towards climate
neutrality and industrial resilience.
A Steady Voice for a Resilient Industry
The past year has confirmed the relevance of EUMEPS as a trusted voice for the
EPS industry in Europe. In a context of continued economic uncertainty and increasing regulatory
complexity, the association remained focused on practical engagement, bringing together members,
partners, and institutions to find common ground.
Whether through data-based advocacy, technical cooperation, or open
communication, EUMEPS continued to support its members and promote a clear message: that EPS has a
meaningful role to play in Europe’s transition towards a more circular, energy-efficient, and
competitive economy.
The adoption of shared values, the renewal of the Board, and the launch of
targeted campaigns—such as Women of EUMEPS, Priority? Insulation!, and EUMEPS Talks
—are not isolated efforts. Together, they reflect a coordinated strategy to strengthen the
association, connect with key audiences, and deliver consistent results
As 2026 begins, the commitment to this approach remains unchanged. EUMEPS will
continue to support its members, contribute to European policy discussions, and provide technical
leadership where it matters most.
Thank you for your continued trust and cooperation.
